perform a variety of multi-media sampling efforts
oversee environmental and remediation construction projects
perform operation and maintenance (O&M) for a variety of small and large water and soil treatment systems
provide additional field and office support to geologists and engineers for diverse clients
work on your own or as part of a larger field support team
ability and willingness to work outdoors and perform extensive fieldwork
willingness to travel for extensive periods of time, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of two (2) years of applicable experience (required)
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience, an Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college and a minimum of two (2) years of applicable experience, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, technical experience in construction services, geotechnical, environmental, or related engineering disciplines (preferred)
practical field experience conducting operation and maintenance of mechanical systems including simple troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems (preferred)
experience with multi-media sampling including soil, water, and air (preferred)
experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, including survey and topographical drawings (preferred)
experience ensuring field activities comply with construction plans and specifications and the ability to monitor several different types of activities simultaneously (preferred)
experience with health and safety requirements typical of construction projects, outdoor work in extreme conditions, and harmful chemicals (preferred)
experience with water treatment systems for drinking or wastewater treatment (preferred)
exposure to the execution of in-situ and ex-situ remediation projects technologies such as chemical injection technologies, pump and treat systems, and landfill gas recovery systems (preferred)
experience with the operation of industry-typical monitoring and data collection equipment (preferred)
working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word software programs (required)
attention to detail when taking daily field notes (required)
ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (required)
ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic (required)
ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance (required)
ability to communicate verbally and in writing with peers, subcontractors, supervisors, and clients to report findings (required)
