Analyze and negotiate logistics strategies for Tigre Brasil while managing cost-reduction projects and supplier relationships in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Lead negotiations following the established methodology, using structured short-, medium-, and long-term strategies, mapping the supplier chain and applying appropriate analyses and tools (Cost Break Down, Request for Quotation (RFQ), etc.) to ensure the best cost-benefit outcome for the Company;
Ensure compliance with the logistics budget plan by monitoring market indicators and leading cost-reduction/cost-avoidance projects to meet area targets and to anticipate potential requests for adjustments and/or seek cost reductions, providing greater visibility of impacts to the Company.
Identify potential supply-demand vulnerabilities by tracking market indicators, aiming to minimize the risk of stockouts at manufacturing sites.
Be aware of taxes/fees associated with contracted services, minimizing fiscal/tax vulnerabilities and enabling better purchasing decisions.
Develop and support projects to improve quality and reduce costs with suppliers and internal customers through workshops and internal/external meetings, aiming to improve and/or reduce the cost of contracted services.
Monitor suppliers’ financial status in accordance with the procurement procedure, together with the Strategic Intelligence (BI) team, to mitigate risks of potential supply issues.
Ensure that negotiated commercial terms are properly updated in SAP to provide greater efficiency in purchasing operations;
Understand transportation and warehousing operations, including transport modes (road, rail, air, etc.).
Ability to evaluate and manage relationships with carriers, ensuring service quality and adherence to deadlines.
Understanding of rules and regulations related to the transportation and storage of goods.
Requirements
Postgraduate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or another relevant field to be evaluated.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in negotiations within logistics processes.
Advanced Office suite skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of SAP.
English: Intermediate level.
Spanish: desirable.
