About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing cloud applications for healthcare communication platform. Leading technical design and implementation for a smart hospital room platform in Mexico City.
Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing feature and performance improvements for the leading healthcare smart room platform
- Design and develop microservices-based applications using Java and/or functional programming languages.
- Automate the deployment of microservices to a cloud environment
- Migrate Java enterprise applications to a multi-tenant cloud architecture – we use AWS
- Work closely with internal client and product teams to refine requirements for technical implementation
- Deliver innovative technology solutions that enable new product features and ongoing performance improvements
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Experience in cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience in developing Microservices
- Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases
- Experience in messaging protocols such as HL7 is preferred
- Ability to clearly communicate and document software concepts, designs, and features
- Experience architecting
