About the role
- Data Engineer developing and evolving BI platform for Thomson Reuters in India. Building architectural solutions and collaborating in all development lifecycle aspects.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the BI Platform including assessing as-is and to-be architecture
- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle: Ideation, Design, Build, Test and Operate
- Utilize a variety of software and tools both commercial and open source
- Enable self-service tooling for analytics teams to create and maintain BI reports
- Ensure consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles
- Continuously challenge and evolve the existing platform capabilities
Requirements
- 3+ years in Software Engineering Data Engineer - AWS, DBT, Python, spark, snowflake, SQL, CICD, data modelling, AI
- Hands-on experience with public cloud technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with service-oriented and/or microservices architecture
- Proficiency in programming languages like Node.js, C#, Python, Java
- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL, BQ
- Experience with Agile development methodologies: Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban
- Hands on DevOps experience – CI/CD in AWS, Git, Monitoring, Log Analytics
