About the role

  • Program Director leading a team of Youth Care Specialists providing trauma-informed services for children and families. Ensuring professional development and team cohesion within a caring organizational culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Youth Care Specialists, providing trauma-informed services for children and families.
  • Use a trauma-informed approach in daily work and interactions with others using the principles of CARE.
  • Proactive coaching and feedback to ensure professional development and growth of direct reports.
  • Setting programmatic objectives, defining roles, and prioritizing tasks for direct reports.
  • Effective proactive communication to meet program needs.
  • Recruit, interview and select top-tier talent for their program staff.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of direct reports’ performance.
  • Address performance issues and replace team members who consistently fall short.
  • Create an open and trusting environment where teamwork is valued.
  • Act as a role model regarding professionalism, positivity and teamwork.
  • Respond to any client/parent/guardian complaints/concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Verified 3 years of work experience as a high performing individual contributor in a related field with exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positions.
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills.
