About the role
- Director of Commercial Operations overseeing the global Order-to-Cash process at The Quality Group. Managing various areas including customer setup, order processing, and payment receipt.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the global end-to-end Order-to-Cash process from customer setup to cash receipt
- Continuously develop the existing O2C framework and ensure scalable structures
- Actively drive automation of core processes (including EDI, Salesforce workflows, reporting)
- Manage and monitor operational KPIs such as OTIF, DSO, order accuracy, dispute rate, and cost-to-serve
- Ensure high data quality, accurate customer master data, and reliable order validation
- Work closely with Supply Chain & Logistics on delivery performance, product availability, and OTIF targets
- Collaborate with Finance & Credit Control on invoice accuracy, dunning, and cash flow optimization
- Shape the integration of Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA together with IT and the Transformation Office
- Expand digital O2C capabilities such as workflow automation, EDI coverage, and KPI dashboards
- Take on responsibilities up to and including the functional leadership of individual roles or subject areas
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Operations, or a related field
- Several years of solid professional experience in Order-to-Cash, Sales Operations, or Commercial Operations
- Extensive experience in end-to-end process management, operational excellence, and digitalization
- Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud (order management, workflows) and SAP S/4HANA (SD, FI, credit management)
- Experience with EDI processes, automation tools, and reporting dashboards
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style, with a proactive approach to operational issues
- Clear communication and confident stakeholder management; comfortable working cross-functionally
- Business-fluent English; German language skills are a plus
