About the role

  • Entrepreneurial HR Manager leading recruitment and HR operations at AI marketing startup. Responsible for building HR systems and fostering culture in Mexico City office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical roles including AI/ML engineers, data scientists, developers, and technical marketing specialists
  • Build and manage talent pipelines in Mexico, with an understanding of the local market
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract top tech talent in a competitive market
  • Own the candidate experience from first contact through onboarding
  • Design and implement HR infrastructure, policies, and processes for our growing startup in Mexico
  • Handle all HR administration including payroll coordination, benefits, compliance, and employee documentation
  • Navigate labor laws and regulations in Mexico
  • Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Foster a strong, inclusive company culture that aligns with our values and mission
  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies
  • Lead performance review processes and provide coaching to managers
  • Partner with leadership to develop workforce planning strategies aligned with business goals
  • Provide data-driven insights on HR metrics, team health, and organizational effectiveness
  • Lead compensation and benefits strategy for the Mexico market

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of recruiting technical talent (AI/ML, software engineering, data science)
  • Deep knowledge of Mexican labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Experience building HR functions from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of compensation structures in the tech industry
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
