- Building Engineer maintaining HVAC and electrical systems for CSI International Inc. Responsibilities include repairs, preventive maintenance, and attending to tenant requests in Jericho, NY.
Responsibilities
- Wear appropriate personal protective safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures according to OSHA standards.
- Maintain and repair the building’s furnishings, structure finish and fixtures; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and associated controls.
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment and its related systems.
- Make mechanical alterations and repairs to the HVAC equipment and controls, as well as all requests for service adjustments.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures, pipes, pumps and drain cleaning.
- Install and repair electrical systems, equipment, devices, and circuits.
- Operation of building MEP system and perform preventive maintenance to mechanical equipment.
- Attend to tenant and building service request including picture hanging, light bulb replacement and other regular requests.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of all building systems which include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building automation controls.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Willingness to be flexible in: assignments, priorities, shifts/depending on projects and production needs and weekend coverage.
