About the role

  • Client Accountant responsible for income and expenditure management at The Crown Estate. Ensuring accurate financial records and assisting in client reporting on a hybrid contract.

Responsibilities

  • Support the financial management of income and expenditure
  • Assist in the production of client reports
  • Ensure accurate financial record-keeping
  • Manage service charges and rental income
  • Maintain accounting for other income and reconciliations
  • Produce completion statements for property sales and lease terminations
  • Liaise with site staff for expenditure accuracy
  • Assist with regular client reports and statutory reporting
  • Collaborate with the client accounting team

Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience of basic accounting/bookkeeping
  • Minimum GCSE level education (Maths and English at grade C or above)
  • Good computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize effectively
  • Organised with attention to detail and able to meet tight deadlines
