About the role

  • Data Science Advisor leveraging AI and ML at Evernorth Health Services. Driving innovation in healthcare through advanced analytics and collaborative partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions that improve member experience and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and revenue growth
  • Apply model lifecycle best practices to ensure consistency, reproducibility, and strong model governance
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with technical and business teams, including Data Engineering, Product Owners, and ML Enablement
  • Drive advanced analytics in areas such as Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and predictive modeling
  • Communicate data insights creatively and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring team members and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Applied/Health/Quant Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (or 1+ years for PhD holders)
  • Proficiency in machine learning, statistics, and data science fundamentals
  • Experience with time-series modeling/forecasting and scalable forecast hierarchies
  • Strong coding skills in Python, R, SQL, and experience with cloud and on-prem computing platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Master’s or PhD in a related field preferred
  • Prior experience with healthcare data (e.g., claims, EHR, disease indicators)
  • Experience with ML lifecycle management, documentation, and logging
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, ggplot, seaborn, plotly, bokeh, altair, holoviews
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and mentoring others.
