About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute The Liz Wheeler Show’s long-term social media strategy to drive brand awareness and audience expansion
  • Analyze audience insights to drive growth
  • Champion audience engagement initiatives that foster loyalty, community, and advocacy among Liz Wheeler’s audience
  • Monitor market trends, emerging platforms, and competitive activity to ensure Liz Wheeler’s brand remains not only relevant, but cutting-edge
  • Establish and track KPIs to assess marketing effectiveness and guide continuous improvement
  • Create reels, clips, and other microcontent to expand reach
  • Edit short break-out videos pulled from long-form episodes of the most prescient points
  • Utilize graphic design skills to create thumbnails
  • Upload episode video files to platforms and schedule for publication
  • Watch each live episode closely, noting timestamps for short-form “highlight” excerpts worth clipping into reels/clips following the episode
  • During each episode, watch YouTube Live to ensure quality control and communicate to senior producer any issues
  • Recommend exceptional content segments for longer-form highlights to the senior producer and manage the posting schedule for these highlights on non-episode days
  • Add tagging, descriptions, proper settings to each episode/highlight on the respective platforms to ensure maximum reach and visibility
  • Maintain and constantly update the show’s database of reels/clips, as well as manage the posting schedule for these reels/clips
  • Write short text posts/captions to accompany the short video clips for social media
  • Enter advertising air checks to the calendar after each episode

Requirements

  • Social media best practices—especially the structure(s) for viral reels
  • High proficiency with Adobe Premiere
  • YouTube Studio
  • Instagram Reels
  • X.com
  • Keen news judgment
  • Superb creative decision-making
  • Expertise in digital marketing, analytics, audience engagement, and content-driven brand building
  • Strong writing skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and reliable
  • 3-5 years of related production experience on a podcast or news show
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop
