About the role
- Senior Accountant responsible for financial statements and reporting within Triathlon Group. Involving in financial closing, process optimization, and handling audits for a global company.
Responsibilities
- Financial statements and group accounting: Independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB (and in the future also under IFRS) and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards.
- Account reconciliations and reporting: Perform account reconciliations and prepare accurate, timely reports for management and executive leadership.
- Intercompany reconciliations: Take responsibility for reconciliations and settlements within the group and ensure smooth execution of intercompany processes.
- Process optimization: Identify improvement opportunities in accounting and closing processes and actively contribute to optimizing internal workflows.
- Contact for audits: Act as the primary contact for auditors and tax advisors and independently support annual audit engagements.
- Project work: Assist with the implementation of a new finance system landscape (SAP S/4HANA) for the entire corporate group!
Requirements
- Completed commercial training, a degree in business administration, or a comparable qualification (tax clerk backgrounds are welcome).
- Several years of professional experience in accounting and familiarity with standard corporate/group finance processes.
- Solid knowledge of HGB and ideally an additional qualification such as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK).
- Desire to develop long-term expertise in IFRS.
- Structured, solution-oriented working style with a high degree of accuracy.
- Confident user of MS Office and common ERP systems; experience with SAP is an advantage.
- With a hands-on mentality, you adapt well to agile finance processes and welcome new challenges.
