About the role
- Night Auditor responsible for guest service and nightly financial audits at Canopy by Hilton Toronto. Combining front desk duties with accounting tasks for guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures and respond to guest inquiries throughout the night.
- Complete nightly audit processes, including verifying daily transactions, balancing accounts, running audit reports, and preparing documentation for management review.
- Accurately process all cash, credit card, and posting transactions according to established procedures.
- Communicate any outstanding guest requests, concerns, or incidents to management.
- Process guest reservations, cancellations, modifications, and updates received by phone or in person throughout the shift.
- Promote teamwork and consistent quality service through effective communication and coordination with other departments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus one-year front desk/guest service experience.
- Some college preferred.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Other languages are considered an asset.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring carrying or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Use a keyboard to operate various property management and reservations systems, etc.
- Communication skills utilize a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
- Basic math skills are used frequently.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivational and training abilities are often used.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
