About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of engineers responsible for keeping our platforms stable, secure and high-performing
- Help resolve technical issues and service requests using our internal ticketing system
- Provide guidance on infrastructure for our Direct Debit products and support environments across AWS and multiple data centres
- Drive improvements to how we work, from security patching, disaster recovery to systems monitoring and service automation
Requirements
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS
- A solid background in systems engineering across Windows, Linux, and databases like MySQL or AWS Aurora
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g. PowerShell or shell scripting)
- Familiarity with SSL certificate management, networking, and system monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Splunk
