About the role
- Network Engineer II responsible for planning and managing hardware and software for Thales/Imperva's DDoS mitigation network. Driving innovation and operational excellence within a cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support 80 PoP Global DDoS Anycast Network
- Ownership mindset of network deliverables of scale, performance, and availability
- Focus on operational excellence, SLI/SLO
- Network Monitoring and Alerting
- Escalations, incident response, RCA, and postmortems
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
- Collaborate product development teams and customer service teams to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Define strategies, roadmap, and architectures for evolving & scaling network technologies to meet business needs in a flexible and agile manner
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience within a cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure
- JNCIP or CCNP preferred
- Experience with large scale global/service provider network environments
- Expert knowledge in routing (BGP/ISIS/MPLS), switching, optical, & firewalls
