About the role
- Field Application Engineer at Thales working on product integration and technical inquiries. Collaborating with sales, customers, and internal teams to drive innovation and technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first contact point for technical inquiries related to Thales’s products & Solutions
- Collaborate with sales/marketing by providing technical advice/presentations and demonstrations for the business engagement
- Work closely with customers to analyse their requirements and recommend appropriate Thales’s products and solutions
- Ensure active support to the customer throughout all the development and integration phases by providing on-site and remote technical support
- Ensure project follow-up and be the technical referent for the integration.
- Drive problem analysis and resolution in collaboration with other Thales teams.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, regulations and ensure field feedback to the teams
- Anticipate, define and drive the development of tools/middleware required for customer integrations.
- Leverage on skills, knowledge, expertise and project experience to contribute to Thale’s product roadmap and strategy.
- Follow-up and control the progress of projects under his/her scope.
- Communicate, plan, report and ensure the internal stakeholders and management.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electronical Engineering, Telecommunications or Computer Science
- 5 years minimum experience in similar technical role (R&D engineer, technical support engineer, technical sales engineer or application engineer)
- Proficiency in languages (e.g. C, C++, Java)
- Must have experience in device application development (Android, Windows, Chrome)
- Must have experience in protocol development or testing and on the associated Test, Spy & Analysis tools (oscilloscope, sniffer, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional and global teams
- Strong analysis and problem-solving ability with customer-oriented mindset
- Write and speak English fluently.
