About the role
- Aero User Terminal Product Manager developing aviation satellite communication products for Telesat. Collaborating with partners and leading product lifecycle for user terminals.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the definition, development, and execution of the product lifecycle for aviation satellite communication products
- Ensure that user terminals meet market needs and deliver high quality-of-service standards
- Develop HW and SW product requirements and technical specifications
- Engage with Aero customers for insights and product strategy validation
- Collaborate with systems engineering and technical product management teams for seamless integration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant discipline with an emphasis in communication systems or satellite terminals
- Minimum 8 years experience in product management in a STEM field with a minimum of 3 years in the satcom sector
- Masters degree or MBA is a plus
- Strong experience managing hardware and software product portfolios
- Familiarity with Agile scrum development methodology
- Knowledge of satellite antenna and modem technologies
- Knowledge of satellite markets and aero verticals
- Ability to write clear, concise and testable product requirements
- Success in building winning communication products and managing long term roadmaps
- Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience working with external vendors
