About the role
- Network Engineer supporting network environments and firewalls at Telio, a telecommunications firm. Responsibilities include installation, monitoring, and optimizing network performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support network environments using technologies such as Extreme Networks, Cisco, and Fortinet
- Install, configure, and provide ongoing support for firewalls, including Fortigate and Cisco
- Design, implement, and administer customer network environments
- Act as 2nd Level IT Support for local field services
- Monitor and administer local network environments
- Manage, document, and resolve incidents using the Jira ticketing system
- Continuously assess network performance and implement upgrades or optimization strategies
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and generate regular reports
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure
- Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
- Collaborate with an international IT team
- Participate in standby duties
Requirements
- Certifications for Network devices like CISCO-CCNA, Fortinet or Extreme Certified Associate
- More than 5 years of experience as network engineer
- More than 3 years of experience in an international team as network engineer
- Experiences in administration of phone systems. (Not required but advantageous)
- Good knowledge central managed network systems and environment
- Technical documentation skills
- Fluent in French and proficient English skills, both spoken and written.
- Ability to travel internationally (10% - 20%)
