Responsibilities
- Conduct site supervision as efficiently, comprehensively, and consistently as possible to ensure that structures built or repaired fully comply with the plans and specifications while being safe and durable
- Be present on the construction site during the contractor’s working hours to confirm the contractor’s presence, monitor the work, and provide a prompt response in case of unforeseen events
- Plan and carry out supervision of all types of work
- Plan, perform and document all inspections and checks that are applicable to the works being supervised
Requirements
- Be a licensed engineer and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Have a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience as an engineer supervising construction works or the repair of civil engineering structures/bridges
- Have three (3) years of experience preparing plans and specifications for bridges and other civil structures
- Demonstrate relevant experience coordinating a multidisciplinary team
- Have completed two (2) projects of comparable scope to the contract
