About the role

Responsibilities
- Focus on contracting and commercial advisory work
- Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
- Lead the resolution of commercial and consumer disputes
- Manage relationships with key regulators and law enforcement
- Cultivate a culture of compliance and continuous learning
- Oversee the protection and enforcement of the group’s extensive IP portfolio
Requirements
- Admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW (or other Australian State).
- 6-8 years’ PQE within a corporate/commercial department of a large/ boutique law firm and/or similar in-house experience, preferably within a live entertainment business.
- Experienced in managing and resolving commercial and regulatory disputes across Australia (eg Fair Trading and Consumer Affairs bodies, and in tribunals such as NCAT and VCAT)
- You have excellent commercial skills and feel confident in negotiating and advising on commercial contracts.
- Excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
- Highly efficient, organised and comfortable prioritising workload and operating in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Naturally curious with a strong desire to learn and develop.
- Continuous improvement mindset always looking for innovative ways to work and resolve problems.
- Confidence liaising directly with a wide range of stakeholders.
