About the role

  • Actuarial Analyst II in Data & Analytics managing reserve valuations and providing financial reports. Collaborating with business partners and ensuring compliance with actuarial standards in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Establish actuarial provisions for all lines of business using appropriate assumptions and methods
  • Build meaningful reports to monitor the adequacy of actuarial provisions over time
  • Communicate and certify the financial results with various business partners
  • Implement risk mitigation, risk controls as well as processes, policies, and procedures for the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial science or other quantitative area of study
  • Working towards obtaining Associateship with the Casualty Actuarial Society, Canadian Institute of Actuaries or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of Property and Casualty actuarial experience
  • Work experience with MS Excel (VBA), programming languages (eg. R/SAS/Python)
