About the role
- Actuarial Analyst II improving customer and colleague experience by leveraging deep analytics at TD Insurance. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize claims costs and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support deep analytics on business results and performance to identify strategies to mitigate the impact of inflation and growth on our operations.
- Provide technical expertise across a broad range of data analysis functions including data modeling, visualization and data profiling.
- Present and share ideas and strategic recommendations to the SSO and SEO leadership team and other partners.
- Collaborate closely with business SMEs to capture the business challenges, translate into technical requirements, and facilitate adoption of analytics solutions.
- Participate in initiatives that will improve customer and colleague experience by proposing solutions leveraging insights from data and analytics.
- Communicate and explain financial and analytical concepts to a non-technical and frontline audience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Sciences or related field
- Minimum of 2 actuarial exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society
- Analytical mind and ability to make sound decisions
- Strong aptitude for teamwork
- Ability to complete tasks independently
- Good organization and time management skills
- Creative in finding solutions to complex problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in programming or using analytical tools (R, Python, SQL, VBA, etc.)
