About the role
- Senior Software Engineer focused on Cloud technologies at Tanium, building and maintaining software stacks and infrastructure with a customer engagement model.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain software stacks with Go.lang
- Build and maintain Tanium's Kubernetes helm charts
- Maintain infrastructure build scripts with terraform and helm
- Build tooling to support hundreds to thousands of Tanium customers automatically
- Design and implement microservices to split apart core Tanium functionality
- Author technical documents and artifacts for developed software
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- CS Degree or related technical field preferred
- 5+ years industry experience, 7+ preferred
- Experience supporting a cloud-based infrastructure
- Proficiency in Golang (preferred), Node.js, Python, Ruby, Rust, or Java
- Experience with API design and development
- Experience with Azure or AWS
- Experience with containers and microservices
- Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
- Knowledge of container orchestration solutions (preferably Kubernetes)
