About the role

  • Civil Engineering Specialist at TMSA, focusing on innovative grain handling and processing solutions in Brazil. Responsible for diverse engineering projects and compliance adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of metal silos, flat-type bulk storage warehouses and storage sheds;
  • Layouts for road and rail receiving flows (truck dumpers, hoppers, belt conveyors—open and enclosed, grain elevators, shiploaders);
  • Mechanical–civil integration (bases, foundations, steel structures and equipment supports);
  • Design of maneuver yards, pavements, internal and road accesses. Stormwater and oily-water drainage with environmental control. Deep foundations and ground improvement. Retaining works and retaining walls. Buried utility systems;
  • Electrical substations. Workshops and maintenance buildings. Administrative buildings, offices and control rooms. Gatehouses and road/rail weighbridges. PLC rooms / electrical panels;
  • Ability to conceive and review operational layouts. Truck and handling equipment flows. Segregation areas, weighbridges, gatehouses and accesses. Sizing of yards and circulation routes;
  • Preparation of calculation reports, descriptive reports and technical specifications;
  • Ensure quality, productivity and agreed deadlines;
  • Design of port pavements (concrete, asphalt, interlocking pavers);
  • Proficiency in reading and coordinating multidisciplinary designs (electrical, mechanical, automation, instrumentation, geotechnical);
  • Understanding of the export logistics chain for agricultural bulk commodities. Technical knowledge of: grain transport systems. Hoppers and truck dumpers;
  • Technical knowledge of: particulate/dust emission control and environmental mitigation. Product segregation standards and static/dynamic storage capacity. Integration with automation disciplines and product flow control;
  • Provide support in preparing budgets and technical proposals, producing calculation reports and project documents;
  • Comply with POs and PRs (purchase orders and purchase requests) and other requirements of the quality management system (quality policy and objectives, risks and opportunities, etc.) during project execution.

Requirements

  • Standards: ABNT, Brazilian Navy Standards, ANTAQ, IBAMA and state environmental regulations, PIANC, API, ACI, BS Standards and Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs) 10, 12, 18, 33 and 35;
  • Good technical and interpersonal communication, including with clients and public agencies;
  • Technical English;
  • Quality management system (procedures, indicators, policy and quality objectives, etc.);
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, automation, environmental);
  • Integrated view across engineering, operations and environment;
  • Certification in BIM or Construction Planning (MS Project);
  • Civil construction processes.
