About the role

  • Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at Syneos Health overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial support. Collaborating with executive leadership and mentoring FP&A analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as an integral member of the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team.
  • Position works closely with executive leadership across the company and reports to the Executive Director FP&A.
  • Contributes to the development and achievement of the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Primary contact within FP&A for the assigned Corporate SG&A Function, working closely with the functional leaders to provide business finance support on Budgeting, Forecasting and spend management.
  • Perform key month end analysis to explain Actual Vs Budgeted performance that helps with effective cost management.
  • Primary point of contact for maintaining and tracking corporate investment plan and financial performance of Corporate initiatives for the assigned Corporate Function.
  • Calculate and maintain Charge out rate for Cost Capitalization and project costing.
  • Partner with the project managers and budget owners to support with the business case preparation and submission for Finance leadership / CFO approval.
  • Oversee the Financial management and Value realization tracking for Corporate Tech Projects.
  • Distribute and assist with interpretation of key financial reports including KPIs post-month-end, to the functional leaders and communicate actions needed.
  • Support Finance Director to provide ongoing financial support to Corporate; ensure management of tight timelines and ad hoc request including Quarterly reporting.
  • Actively manage and mentor Corporate FP&A analyst(s).

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent related education and experience; plus, a moderate, progressive financial experience, preferably within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
  • 5+ years working in Business Finance or FP&A Capacity
  • Strong analytic, communication and computer skills needed utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
  • Proficiency with accounting software packages is necessary and Oracle Finance experience preferred.
  • SOX experience preferred and solid understanding of GAAP required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.
