About the role
- Endpoint Engineer managing devices in a hybrid role at Syneos Health. Focusing on modern endpoint management and zero trust methodologies for robust digital environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage solutions for Windows (physical and virtual) and Mac workstations
- Support a healthy device posture and operation throughout the workstation lifecycle
- Facilitate the transition from traditional on-premises, domain-based compute to modern, cloud-managed endpoints
- Develop self-service scripts that enhance user-driven support and remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of workstation solutions into a developing zero trust environment
- Determine the feasibility of new requirements and their compatibility with current systems
- Automate device health and posture in an evolving, conditional-based access environment
- Analyze and resolve production issues not resolved by Tier 1 or Tier 2 support related to endpoint devices
- Develop, facilitate, and maintain product support materials including run books, technical diagrams, and knowledge bases
- Make recommendations for improving the software lifecycle process and complete process improvement activities
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant professional work experience in a large-scale environment (15,000+ endpoints)
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with some relative experience
- Deep understanding of multiple OS platforms, including Windows, MacOS, and/or Linux
- Proven experience with cloud-based modern device management solutions such as Intune, Tanium, Workspace ONE, or Jamf Pro
- Strong understanding of zero trust security principles
- Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Familiarity with agile development practices (a plus)
- Experience managing or supporting non-persistent multisession VDI solutions (a plus)
- Functional experience in the healthcare domain and clinical applications (a plus)
- Working knowledge of modern Microsoft offerings (M365, AVD, Azure) (a plus)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Tanium Certified Professional, Jamf Certified Associate) (a plus)
