About the role
- Cloud Engineer managing AWS-based IT systems at Syneco. Supporting migration and ensuring compliance and security standards for cloud resources.
Responsibilities
- Provisioning and operation of sophisticated IT systems based on Amazon Web Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Supporting the migration of on-premises applications to the cloud
- Implementing our governance, compliance and security requirements together with our cloud platform team
- Expertise in monitoring, backup, update/patch and release management
- Ensuring continuous operation by monitoring and troubleshooting cloud resources and services
- Automating processes for provisioning and managing cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Cross-functional collaboration with other teams to define and implement technical requirements.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in the AWS cloud environment and in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions and applications while adhering to security and compliance standards
- Extensive experience with Linux, network technologies and concepts, and proven security practices
- Willingness to specialize in and adopt new technologies
- Automation using CloudFormation, Terraform and Git/Bitbucket is second nature to you
- You communicate confidently within the team, with service providers and with our customers, take responsibility for your work and enjoy solving tasks collaboratively
- Very good English skills, written and spoken, and good German skills.
