About the role
- Senior Product Engineer responsible for developing modern web applications at SYNCPILOT. Collaborating with a diverse team to enhance digital services for citizens and businesses.
Responsibilities
- Develop modern, responsive web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular and TypeScript
- Take responsibility for clean code, security and performance
- Work closely with product managers, designers and engineers
- Perform testing and code reviews
- Optimize the SDLC with a focus on high quality
- Actively share knowledge and support others as a mentor in pair programming
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or vocational training with equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend, backend or full‑stack development
- Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, JUnit), TypeScript (Angular, Jest, Vitest), databases (MariaDB, MySQL, Hibernate, Liquibase), APIs (REST, Swagger) and Docker
- Experience working in Scrum with Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence
- Additional experience with Jenkins, Git, Linux, Helm and Kubernetes
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, and business‑fluent English at C1 level
