- Technical Senior Accountant managing accounting processes while collaborating with project managers in an international environment. Focused on reporting, optimization, and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ongoing bookkeeping, account reconciliations and monthly financial closes in accordance with HGB
- Preparation and analysis of financial reports, forecasts and variance analyses
- Close collaboration with project managers and the Finance Operations team to record project-related revenues and costs
- Responsible for deferred revenue and cost accruals
- Intercompany reconciliations within the Symbio group and the international finance team
- Support in preparing year-end closing documentation and working with tax advisors, auditors and authorities
- Support for consolidated reporting (knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP is an advantage)
- Automation and optimization of accounting and reporting processes
- Participation in cash planning and payment processing
- Involvement in process and system projects in the finance area
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or degree in finance and accounting
- Several years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in a project-oriented, international environment
- Solid knowledge of HGB, with understanding of IFRS or US GAAP
- Experience in project accounting (accruals, project-based revenue recognition, milestone billing)
- Confident use of MS Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI or comparable tools desirable
- Business-fluent German, very good English skills
- Analytical and structured way of working
- High level of personal responsibility and reliability
- Interest in process digitization, automation and close collaboration with cross-functional teams
