About the role
- Senior Accountant responsible for GL close and financial reporting at healthcare AI startup. Ensuring balance sheet integrity and supporting multi-entity reporting.
Responsibilities
- Execute core month-end GL close activities, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the general ledger.
- Perform FX remeasurement and related postings.
- Assist with group consolidation activities, including review of consolidation entries and FX impacts.
- Prepare variance analysis and support management reporting.
- Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
- Enforce accounting cutoffs, standards, and close discipline.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant - Preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proven experience in GL close ownership or senior close execution.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
- Exposure to group consolidation concepts (eliminations, FX).
- Strong attention to detail with a reviewer mindset.
- Ability to operate effectively under close deadlines.
- Systems & Tools (Strong Plus): NetSuite experience (GL, intercompany, reporting); Experience with close management and reconciliation tools; Advanced Excel / reporting skills.
