About the role

  • Manage strategic supplies and optimize service levels at Suzano's materials planning chain. Lead internal customer communication and performance monitoring while ensuring cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring target service levels at the lowest possible total cost, considering a macro view of the materials planning chain;
  • Define the planning model used for each material so that all process variables are considered, such as criticality, consumption frequency, supply agreements, lead time, etc.;
  • Configure optimal inventory levels using level-optimization software aligned with the company’s business rules;
  • Support internal customers regarding the communication of risks, action plans, projected stockouts, and demand confirmations;
  • Support and control the unit’s inventory planning activities;
  • Analyze and monitor open purchase orders, purchase requisitions, stock quantities, etc.;
  • Maintain interaction with other departments to obtain important data for inventory planning;
  • Carry out follow-up and negotiation with related areas;
  • Analyze and map work processes by monitoring performance indicators in order to meet established targets, implement corrections, and drive improvement actions;
  • Control inventory optimization processes together with operations to minimize tied-up capital through the continuous pursuit of stock reduction and planning of user-area requirements without compromising operational performance;
  • Monitor replenishment chain processes for inventories;
  • Gather information from inventory planning processes to provide inputs for managerial decision-making;
  • Analyze and assess opportunities for standardization and rationalization of materials;
  • Monitor inventories with respect to stockouts, total stock, item distribution by planning parameters, volume of investment items held in inventory, volume of returns, and volume of non-moving items, among other aspects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed);
  • Solid experience in strategic procurement with a focus on services;
  • Experience with Strategic Sourcing, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and Should Cost methodologies;
  • Strong knowledge of service contract management and negotiation;
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
