About the role
- Mental Health Therapist II providing psychosocial assessments and therapy at Sutter Health. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care plans and outcomes in behavioral health settings.
Responsibilities
- Provides psychosocial assessment, individual, family and group therapy, treatment planning, and case management for patients referred to Behavioral Health
- Works with patients to mitigate obstacles affecting care plan implementation and success.
- Is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Serves as a liaison to community programs to enhance aftercare plans of patients and their families.
Requirements
- Master's: Social Work, Counseling
- AMFT- Associate Marriage & Family Therapist OR APCC- Associate Professional Clinical Counselor OR ACSW- Associate Clinical Social Worker
- Two years recent relevant experience
- Clinical skills in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, interdisciplinary collaboration and linkage with resources
- Knowledgeable in child, adolescent, adult and geriatric psychopathology as well as psychiatric interventions
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented services, family systems, and evidenced based treatments (e.g., Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interview, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention, etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of human behavior and communication, psychotherapy, case management, and the influence of cultural and spiritual values in social work practice
