Certified Recreational Therapist Specialist designing and implementing therapy programs for individuals with Autism. Working in various settings including client homes and outpatient offices.
Responsibilities
Design and implement Recreational Therapy programming in conjunction with NCTRC and Indiana Medicaid Waiver requirements and designations.
Travel and work in client homes, the community, and/or one of our outpatient offices daily.
Receive and implement feedback accurately and efficiently.
Adapt activities to meet the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of each client.
Document clients' progress, participation, and outcomes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Stay current with best practices and evidence-based approaches in recreational therapy.
Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality while promoting dignity, inclusion, and quality of life for all clients.
Requirements
Must have an active and valid CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) credential, accredited by the NCTRC
Bachelor’s Degree in RT Field or equivalent path
Knowledge in conducting Assessments, Treatment Plan development, and providing activity resources
Valid driver's license, registration, and insurance
Reliable transportation
Must be able to pass extensive background checks and drug screenings
Day and evening availability needed
Reliable attendance and punctuality
High level of enthusiasm and energy.
