About the role
- Senior Project Manager leading security project deliveries at Sun Life. Responsible for the end-to-end management of multiple project management frameworks with a focus on security deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director, Security Programs, Security, Risk and Crisis Management (SRC) the Senior Project Manager has the accountability for the end-to-end delivery of security deliverables operating in a multitude of various Project Management Frameworks.
- Acting in the role of Senior Project Manager, accountable to initiate, plan, manage, deploy, coach and/or influence security deliverables on-time, on-budget and within the required quality.
- Work closely with the Sponsor(s) and Product Owner(s) to define the desired outcome, approach, and planning to implement and operationalize the deliverable.
- Collaborate with the SRC Business Office and Sourcing on vendor contracting and management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management.
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery / transformation / training / coaching.
- Strong business acumen and project delivery skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
- IT experience and/or understanding of Security control environment would be an asset.
- Formal Agile training / certification would be an asset.
- Experience in DevOps and Agile Toolset (JIRA, Confluence) would be an asset.
