About the role
- Senior Data Engineer maturing strategic data assets and delivering business analytics in a regulated financial environment. Collaborating with stakeholders to advance business data strategy on cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director, Data Platforms, Client Experience Office (CXO)
- Deliver business analytics aligned data models and scalable governance frameworks
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and data engineering teams
- Partner closely with CXO leaders, enterprise architecture, governance and risk teams, and data practitioners
- Define curated data layer strategy in cloud platforms
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on skills in data solution design, systems analysis, data management and data engineering fields
- Deep experience in modern cloud technologies preferably Snowflake platform and AWS data ecosystem (S3, Glue, IAM, Lake patterns)
- Hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling tools, database management systems, database softwares and data business intelligence tools
- Strong hands-on experience with Data modeling, Metadata & data cataloging solutions and Data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK preferred)
- Fluent in common programming languages; preferably Pyspark/Python and SparkSQL
- Experience working with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies
- Experience building governed analytics platforms in regulated industries (financial services preferred)
