Research Analyst delivering high-quality market research and insights for Studyportals' clients in higher education sector. Collaborating with teams to empower universities with strategic guidance.
Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research using desk research, fieldwork, and advanced data analytics to analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
Reporting on Market Insights: Lead the development of market insights reports, translating data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients
Data Visualisation & Storytelling: Design and interpret charts, mainly with Tableau or Excel, and visual outputs that effectively communicate insights and support decision-making
Client Engagement: Participate in consulting engagements, including client meetings, interviews, and on-site visits.
Project Support: Support early-stage project scoping by assessing data feasibility and analytical approaches in collaboration with project managers and consultants. This includes responding to data analysis requests across Studyportals to support webinars, conferences, sales activities, and internal initiatives
Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop thought leadership content that strengthens Studyportals’ position as an authority in international student recruitment
Operational Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the team’s methodologies, workflows, and client engagement practices, including training junior members that join the team
Requirements
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a market research- or analytics-related role, preferably in the Higher Education sector
Analytical Excellence: Demonstrated skills in analysis, reporting, and strategic thinking, with a drive to create value for clients
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Excel, along with experience in Tableau or similar data visualisation tools
Insightful Curiosity: A keen interest in conducting data analyses, transforming insights into comprehensive reports, visualisations, and actionable strategies
Research Mindset: Curiosity and enthusiasm for combining qualitative and quantitative research methods
Dynamic Personality: Ambitious and energetic, with a charismatic presence. You are results driven, dedicated to achieving success, and thrive in a team setting

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business, Analytics, or a related field
