About the role

  • Software Developer supporting the operation of Albion Online at Sandbox Interactive. Collaborating with teams to ensure seamless services for players through developing frontend and backend systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects for both internal and external audiences, collaborating with adjacent teams and stakeholders
  • Develop both our frontend and backend systems, with a strong emphasis on web UI development.
  • Support the evolution of established systems into modern architectures
  • Contribute to the code quality of the team by participating in code reviews
  • Advance unit and integration testing of microservices
  • Assist in analyzing and fixing issues on the production environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Over 3 years of experience as a software engineer working across both backend and frontend development, however with a strong emphasis on web UI development
  • A passion and skill for implementing web page layouts with high fidelity to the original design
  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as practical experience with Java and Spring Boot
  • Solid communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English
  • Experience with the code review process
  • Understanding of microservice architecture, API design, REST
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Practical experience with PHP and Symphony framework (preferred qualification)
  • Experience with Redis and RabbitMQ (preferred qualification)
