About the role
- Software Developer supporting the operation of Albion Online at Sandbox Interactive. Collaborating with teams to ensure seamless services for players through developing frontend and backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects for both internal and external audiences, collaborating with adjacent teams and stakeholders
- Develop both our frontend and backend systems, with a strong emphasis on web UI development.
- Support the evolution of established systems into modern architectures
- Contribute to the code quality of the team by participating in code reviews
- Advance unit and integration testing of microservices
- Assist in analyzing and fixing issues on the production environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Over 3 years of experience as a software engineer working across both backend and frontend development, however with a strong emphasis on web UI development
- A passion and skill for implementing web page layouts with high fidelity to the original design
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as practical experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Solid communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English
- Experience with the code review process
- Understanding of microservice architecture, API design, REST
- Experience with relational databases
- Practical experience with PHP and Symphony framework (preferred qualification)
- Experience with Redis and RabbitMQ (preferred qualification)
