About the role

  • IT Network Engineer performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on military network systems. Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for network equipment in military systems.
  • Hands-on and ensure services rendered meet safety, quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Able to use the right tools and execute task instructions in accordance with maintenance manuals.
  • Perform scheduled Preventive and Corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Perform root cause analysis.
  • Perform system and cybersecurity patches.
  • Involved in tech refresh activities.
  • Process and execution of configuration, asset and change management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Computer Science / Information Technology or related fields; advanced certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance related roles.
  • Experience in managing enterprise Linux (SUSE Linux) and Windows server environments in a complex IT infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of high availability and fault-tolerant system architectures, with experience in clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL database maintenance.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, monitoring, remote administration, routing, switching, and firewall configuration, particularly with Palo Alto, McAfee, and Checkpoint appliances.
  • Experience with SAN storage solutions and storage area networks (SAN).
  • Knowledge of Microsemi NTP (Network Time Protocol) for time synchronization across network devices.
  • Possess problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Able to interact well with internal team and customers.
  • Experience in SAP and ES is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel and work in camp sites.
  • Possess class 3 license is an advantage.
