About the role
- Accountant managing daily bookkeeping and financial processes in a growing company. Possibility to develop into controlling & reporting roles.
Responsibilities
- Ongoing bookkeeping (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank transactions, reconciliations)
- Review, posting and management of 30–100 invoices per day
- Daily bank checks and payment overviews
- Preparatory payroll accounting (payroll processed externally; you will handle data import and verification)
- Ensuring accurate and complete administration
- Support for monthly and annual financial closings
- Close collaboration with the Senior Accountant and international management
- Participation in the migration from DATEV to a new accounting tool
- Use of tools such as Pleo and Flowers (nice to have)
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in accounting/bookkeeping
- 1+ years of professional experience in accounting, including invoicing, monthly closings and payroll accounting
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Experience with DATEV is a plus, as are strong Excel skills and a numerical affinity
- Open mindset and willingness to learn, with the ability to progress into more complex finance topics over time
