About the role

  • Chargé(e) de projet en Géophysique, gérant des projets au sein de l'équipe de Stantec. Mise en œuvre des techniques géophysiques et développement de l'activité.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, test and supervise geophysical data acquisition programs;
  • Identify client and/or project team needs and select the most appropriate geophysical technique;
  • Plan field programs (budget, schedule, equipment, resources, etc.);
  • Carry out acquisition and processing of data collected in the field. Perform data quality control, interpret results and prepare deliverables;
  • Train and supervise additional or supporting resources (technicians, junior engineers, geologists).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in geological engineering, engineering physics, geology or another relevant discipline; a Master's degree in geophysics is an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience performing geophysical assignments applied to engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of multiple geophysical methods: seismic refraction, MASW, DC electrical imaging, vibration monitoring and control, borehole logging, downhole methods, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), reflection seismic (asset).
  • Ambitious and proactive.
  • Autonomous and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good written communication skills in French and functional English.
  • ASP card.
  • Member of the OIQ or OIG (asset).
  • Available to travel regularly across Quebec (10–20% of the time).
