About the role

  • Environmental Scientist/Project Manager supporting environmental remediation projects across various industries for Stantec. Engage with clients while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage safety planning and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  • Serve as primary client contact and foster relationships.
  • Communicate with State Agencies to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and implement Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater.
  • Lead and implement remediation projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, and grant applications.
  • Review and interpret data against state and federal standards.
  • Conduct site investigations, sampling, and inspections.
  • Oversee subcontractors and ensure health & safety compliance.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage field teams.
  • Support business development and proposal efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience; PE or PG license preferred.
  • Current 40-Hr HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
