About the role

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure team to develop and refine cloud-based containerization strategies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Partner with Software Engineering leadership to drive process improvements that boost development efficiency and system reliability.
  • Work closely with software teams to optimize workflows and modernize infrastructure.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot build and deployment processes to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Promote secure, reliable automation across Windows and Linux environments, enabling developer-focused workflows with guardrails that ensure process consistency, best practices, and business continuity.
  • Bridge technical conversations between systems and software engineers to ensure aligned, effective solutions.
  • Contribute to refining Git branching strategies and actively participate in pull request (PR) management processes.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • +3 years of hands-on DevOps experience using Azure DevOps
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms; AWS preferred.
  • Proficiency in version control and Git workflows for managing code and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of standard release mechanics, environment promotion, and release reverting
  • Experience in building automation workflows and configuring pro-active monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Experience with C# (.NET Core and VB.NET) build and deployment.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps Pipelines, including scripting in YAML, PowerShell, Bash/Shell, or Python
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments using Docker (Linux-based)
  • Familiarity with managing dependencies through Azure DevOps Artifacts
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (HTTP/S, DNS)
  • Understanding with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible
  • Understanding of pipeline security, including: Access controls (RBAC, PAT, MFA) Secret management (API keys, certificates) Security practices (scanning tools, pre-deployment checks, pipeline triggers)
  • Relevant certifications are a plus. (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to balance strategic goals and immediate delivery needs.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
