About the role
- Platform Engineer responsible for ensuring stable operations of hybrid environments and critical systems at SourcingTrust, Lda, while optimizing infrastructure performance and reducing operational risks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the operation, stability, and evolution of a hybrid platform (on-premises + Azure)
- Support critical systems with high operational demands
- Manage and continuously improve the infrastructure, ensuring resilience, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with automation and observability teams to optimize processes and reduce operational risk
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in platform infrastructure and operations in an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS (minimum 3 years), including management and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of hybrid environments (cloud + on-premises)
- Experience with: virtual machines, networking, storage, and core infrastructure components; SQL Server and Azure SQL (operations and best practices); and application servers (e.g., IIS)
- Familiarity with Azure tools and services such as App Services, Storage, Networking, and governance (policies, tagging, etc.)
- Experience managing upgrades, patching, and lifecycle processes with a focus on stability
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Experience troubleshooting in critical environments
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Basic networking and security knowledge (RBAC, least privilege)
- Ability to work in demanding, high-availability environments
