About the role
- Oversee and manage new product development projects from concept to stability in production. Collaborate across cross-functional teams within a regulated environment at Sonova in Kitchener, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned new product development projects from requirements definition through volume stability
- Develop bottom-up project schedules in collaboration with functional teams and ensure resource alignment
- Manage project milestones, proactively resolve issues, and ensure stakeholders remain informed of timelines and risks
- Act as project leader by facilitating meetings, setting agendas, tracking action items, and driving accountability
- Partner with QA to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to Sonova’s gate review process
- Provide regular project status updates to the Director, highlighting risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations
- Support IP analysis and perform additional project-related duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Software, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of project management experience in a technology-driven environment
- Experience working within a regulated product development lifecycle
- Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
