About the role

• Material Reinvent Product Engineer developing innovative materials for Solventum. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance medical devices and drug products.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside a multi-functional team to identify, evaluate, and qualify alternative materials used in Solventum medical devices, combination devices, drug products, and components.
• Collaborating with the Solventum research & development organization to reformulate or redesign input materials where needed to enhance performance or quality characteristics.
• Pursuing united goals with cross-functional global teams composed of members from manufacturing, product stewardship, clinical, quality, and multiple other functions.
• Visiting and forming great working relationships with identified third party and internal manufacturing locations to facilitate qualifications.
• Strategically requesting and managing confidential information internally and with third parties on a need-to-know basis.
• Leading or supporting major projects by maintaining clear project schedules, presenting status to multiple types of stakeholders, and driving the successful attainment of milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND seven (7) years of experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environment
• High School Diploma/GED AND eleven (11) years of experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environment
• Three (3) years of product and/or manufacturing experience in the medical device industry and/or medical device Quality Management Systems (QMS)
