Responsibilities
Responsible for developing, implementing, directing and overseeing programs to understand the science of wound healing, infection prevention, and other areas of strategic interest to Solventum
Work with colleagues to evaluate and develop emerging technologies for use in future products
Provide technical input and allocate proper resources and skill sets to provide appropriate scientific/engineering/technical leadership and support (study design, implementation and reporting) for innovation, concept, product development and sustaining efforts
Work with internal functions and external entities worldwide, as appropriate, to ensure success of projects
Ensure dissemination of research internally and externally, as appropriate, to maintain and grow scientific reputation and credibility
Perform administrative and financial oversight tasks related to management of projects and groups
Foster a culture of technical excellence, operational rigor, and continuous improvement, while maintaining compliance with medical device regulatory standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences or related technical discipline, or equivalent
Minimum 18 years of experience in medical device technology or related industry, with at least 7 years in a leadership role
Demonstrated success developing and executing evidence strategies for multiple medical devices, drugs and/or drug/device combinations
Demonstrated success managing complex medical device research and development projects and cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage and to prioritize multiple competing tasks for team
Experience condensing complex requirements into specific and measurable test objectives
Experience in experimental design and analysis of bench, in vitro and preclinical studies
Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, resource planning, project and portfolio management
Proven ability to drive innovation, manage change, and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
