Safety Advisor responsible for promoting workplace safety and compliance in manufacturing. Engaging employees to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to contribute to a safety culture on the shop floor, aiming for a “zero-accident” objective.
You will maintain an active presence on site to advise teams and ensure application of best practices.
You will take part in drafting Prevention Plans, analyze accidents and near-misses, and update risk assessment tools (DUERP - Single Document for Risk Assessment).
You will design and deliver awareness and training modules to make safety part of everyone’s routine.
You will monitor performance indicators, manage site access, and assist in preparing safety bodies (CSSCT - Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee).
You will collect, analyze and disseminate data to improve safety and working conditions, in compliance with applicable laws and internal policy.
You will manage service contracts for site security (guarding) and cleaning.
You will prepare the annual control plan, place orders in SAP, and issue access badges.
Requirements
Education: Bac+2 or Bac+3 in HSE (Health, Safety, Environment), e.g., BUT (formerly DUT) HSE or a Professional Bachelor's degree.
Experience: Typically 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial environment is expected.
Industry-specific experience in chemical or heavy industry is a strong asset due to specific risks (chemical hazards, ATEX).
Technical skills: Able to analyze risks and incidents, conduct root-cause trees, perform audits, manage documentation, handle indicators and dashboards, and create and follow up corrective action plans.
Analytical skills: Able to identify non-conformities, understand incidents and pursue root causes, read data and extract trends to share across the plant.
Interpersonal skills: Regularly interact with shop-floor operators, frontline supervisors, managers and senior leadership. You will engage with both Solvay personnel and external contractor staff.
Communication: Able to persuade and convey messages with a pedagogical approach.
Rigor & responsiveness: Master regulatory requirements and react calmly during incidents and while on call.
Team spirit & availability: Work as a two-person team to cover the entire plant and be prepared to replace your partner in case of absence.
