About the role
- Cloud Engineer designing and managing secure cloud infrastructure for fintech platform. Collaborating with teams to ensure high availability and compliance under evolving fintech regulations.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-optimised cloud infrastructure to support fintech applications, ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain IaC using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines, enabling seamless deployment of applications using GitHub Actions
- Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security, to meet fintech regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC 2)
- Monitor and optimise cloud performance, leveraging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Datadog to ensure low latency and high availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering
- Designed and managed cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP within a fintech or regulated industry.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
