About the role
- Principal Front End Developer responsible for Angular development on Fixed Income trading floor. Collaborating with investment teams to build tools for investment processes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver time-to-market solutions, helping business partners use technology in an exploratory, highly iterative environment
- Help our investment teams evolve their investment processes, to meet both short-term needs and long-term trends, through the use of technology
- Collaborate with Architecture, Data Services and other Technology Teams to improve the performance and scalability of our applications and workflows
- Provide outstanding support, including rotational on-call support
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering; 2+ years of experience as a technical lead
- Understanding of and experience within an Agile/Scrum framework preferred
- Experience as a technical lead supporting multiple teams, providing guidance and oversight for junior engineers; Partnering with Architecture, Data Services, Cloud Platform Teams, etc. to propose, design, develop and implement solutions
- Experience with UI tech stack/Single Page Applications : HTML, JavaScript and Angular
- Experience in Micro Frontend architecture, including modular design, independent deployment strategies
- A passion to learn new things, including the Asset Management and Fixed Income investment domains
- You are self-motivated, driven, and have a strong client focus and results-orientated approach
- Comfortable developing Angular based user interfaces and Java based middle tier services
- Familiarity with developing and running software on cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services.
