About the role
- Senior Java Systems Analyst at Evertec, enhancing data systems in a complex financial environment. Responsible for inventory management and data validation controls with hands-on technical strategy.
Responsibilities
- Act as an embedded consultant with a strategic, hands‑on role in creating and maintaining the Systems and Data Inventory
- Identify systems, databases, interfaces and data flows together with IT teams
- Create and maintain inventories of systems, applications, databases and integrations
- Classify data by business domain, criticality and sensitivity (LGPD)
- Gather technical knowledge from BAs, Tech Leads, Architects, QA and Operations
- Produce data dictionaries, technical/functional descriptions and define ownership
- Ensure standardization, completeness and traceability of documentation
- Identify and support the definition of data validation rules and data quality controls
- Map evidence of consistency, integrity and quality
- Contribute templates and control checklists
- Ensure alignment with SDLC, QA and operational processes
- Serve as the technical-operational focal point for data inventory and documentation
- Lead structured interviews and workshops
- Report status, risks and dependencies to the DCIO / CDO
Requirements
- Experience with transactional systems, Data Warehouse, Data Lake and integrations
- Data modeling (conceptual, logical and physical)
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, diagrams and legacy systems
- Experience with topics such as Data Inventory / Data Catalog
- Data Lineage
- Data Quality / Data Validation
- Data Ownership & Stewardship
- Knowledge of Java and Microsoft SQL Server
- Tools: Advanced Excel, Confluence, SharePoint or corporate Wiki
- Preferred: tools such as Collibra, Oracle Data Modeler or similar
